Researchers labor for years to develop and prove their concepts in the lab. It takes even more time to bring those ideas to the market place. Regrettably, history has shown that the original researchers are often not the ones who profit from this effort.

Business leaders can help change that. They can help researchers build companies that change the world, refining the product, creating the go-to-market plan and attracting both talent and investment to the company. However, researchers need to be able to trust these business people.

Similarly, there are many business leaders that labor inside larger companies but yearn to help build a start-up. They need to be able to find scalable ideas, build trust and ultimately make the jump to join researchers in bringing their work to market.
